Looking for an unforgettable way to make a difference this summer? Join the Community Health Institute in Guatemala from June 7 – August 9, 2026!
You’ll begin in Quetzaltenango, where you’ll spend four weeks in a hands-on course focused on biomedical equipment repair skills, learning and practicing alongside Guatemalan engineering students. Afterward, you’ll put your new expertise to work during a five-week hospital placement, teaming up with 3–5 fellow volunteers to repair and maintain life-saving medical equipment in partnering hospitals across the country. Throughout the program, you’ll stay with local families in homestays, deepening your cultural experience and connections.
