2026 Chapter Merger

In April 2026, the Central Houston and Johnson Space Center (officially on the EWB-USA roster as South Houston) Professional Chapters of Engineers Without Borders-USA merged to form the Greater Houston Professional Chapter.

Since 2005, the two chapters collectively delivered 17 (and counting) engineering projects and contributed a combined four-plus decades of experience advancing sustainable solutions in communities both locally and around the world.

This unification brings together a broader network of professionals, expertise, and shared purpose—reflecting the spirit of EWB-USA’s #BuildingTogetherTomorrow and positioning our chapter to take on even greater challenges in the years ahead.

In this context, “Greater” represents not only our geographic locale, but also our ambition to deepen impact and expand what’s possible as engineers. As we move forward, we invite our members, partners, and supporters to continue playing a vital role in this work.
