Many of you may know Community Engineering Corps (CECorps) well, while some may have only heard the name in passing at an EWB-USA conference or in Volunteer News.
CECorps has spent over a decade advancing infrastructure access in underserved U.S. communities as a founding partnership between EWB-USA, ASCE, and AWWA. As of 2025, EWB-USA has taken full ownership of this program, and the CECorps name and brand are being retired; the program will use EWB-USA’s name and branding going forward – the US Community Program (USCP).
The mission stays the same: expanding access to essential infrastructure for underserved U.S. communities, now under a more unified organizational home. If you’ve already seen more on this, consider it a friendly recap; if this is new to you, check out EWB-USA’s FAQ, read EWB-USA’s blog, or sign up for EWB-USA’s upcoming webinar on September 16 (4 PM CT) to learn more and see what’s next.
